Introduction and Background Information

Oral and maxillofacial surgery requires completion of a residency program which provides hospital-based surgical and anesthesia training after graduation from dental school. As oral and maxillofacial surgeons, Dr. Steven R. Patty manages a wide variety of problems relating to the mouth, teeth and facial regions. Dr. Patty and Dr. Valiquette practice a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with expertise ranging from removal of teeth to corrective jaw surgery. They can also diagnose and treat facial injuries, TMJ disorders, sleep apnea related to jaw structure and perform a full range of dental implant procedures.

Our staff is trained in assisting with intravenous (IV) sedation or outpatient general anesthesia in our state-of-the-art office setting. Patients are continuously monitored during and after surgery.

Surgical Staff

The surgical staff at Union Oral Surgery and Dental Implant Center is made up of experienced oral and maxillofacial surgical assistants who assist in administration of intravenous sedation and surgery. Our surgical assistants complete the Oral and Maxillofacial Anesthesia Assistants Program sponsored by the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. All surgical staff regularly participate in continuing education courses and are certified in CPR and other medical care procedures.
