Meet Steven R. Patty, DDS
Dr. Steven R. Patty is Board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and has been in the private practice of oral and maxillofacial surgery since 1988. He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill School of Dentistry and did his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the university’s dental school and at North Carolina Memorial Hospital. As a dental student and resident he received several awards and honors including induction into Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society and an undergraduate award for excellence in oral and maxillofacial surgery.
Dr. Patty became Board Certified and Fellow of the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology in 2005. He is also a member of the following professional organizations: Metrolina Dental Society, American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and North Carolina Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Dr. Patty, originally from Alamance County (NC), is married to Dia Ormand Patty, who is a native of Monroe and Union County. They have two grown children. They enjoy water sports, horses, and farming and can often be found on weekends at Lake Tillery or riding the trails on their horse farm in Union County. Additionally, Dr. Patty enjoys golf.
Wisdom tooth extractions as well as dental implants are the most common oral surgery procedures. However, Dr. Patty and his associate Dr. Tara Valiquette treat a variety of issues including facial trauma, jaw reconstruction, oral cancer detection/removal and many other conditions occurring in the mouth, face and jaw. The practice has recently begun to include facial rejuvenation, dealing with the esthetics of the facial region.
Dr. Patty attends numerous continuing education courses each year. He is dedicated to working with dentists and other doctors in the community to provide the very best care for patients with surgical and other professional needs involving the mouth, face, and jaw. Dr. Patty welcomes appointments at either our Monroe or our Mint Hill location.
